On January 20, 2025, President Donald J. Trump began his second term in office with an executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America. This body of water plays a crucial role in the United States, supporting industries such as tourism, fishing, and energy production.
The obverse of the Gulf of America Commemorative Silver Round features Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty design.
